Raman spectra of α- and γ-In2Se3

Description
The results of Raman spectra of α-In2Se3 together with those of the γ-phase are presented for the first time. Four normal modes of vibration are observed for α-In2Se3 and twelve for γ-In2Se3. The frequencies are listed together with TO and LO frequencies from FIR spectra. Comparing the FIR and Raman data of γ-In2Se3 one can see that for the four high-frequency modes there is an almost exact coincidence. This fact confirms the suggestion for the possible point group of this polymorphic material
