Description

This paper presents an investigation of waste acceptance criteria for municipal or industrial refuse disposal facilities, in application of the radiological protection principles defined by the International Commission of Radiological Protection (ICRP). Results for two methods of approach are presented and compared with results obtained for systematic VLLW exemption and for waste acceptance in a near surface disposal center for radiotoxic waste.
