Annual doses for various categories of worker

  • 1. National Radiological Protection Board, Chilton (United Kingdom)

Description

This paper continues the series of reports on the radiation exposures of those workers using the radiation dose record keeping service provided by the National Radiological Protection Board (NRPB). The reduction in doses from external radiation reported earlier has continued. However the picture has been complicated by the inclusion in the most recent figures of a group of workers who receive relatively high doses from internal emitters, particularly radon. Workers who change employment during the year present a particular problem to the collection of accurate statistics. The best solution is the collation of radiation dose records on at least a national basis. (author)
