This newsletter presents, first, the disconnection that occurred in October 2006 between the first phase (2005-2007) and second phase (2008-2012) prices which corresponds to different dynamics and price signals in the European trading scheme. Then it makes a synthesis of the European CO2 market over the last 13 months: traded volumes, spot prices, climate indexes (temperature, precipitations), economic activity indicators (industrial production index, business leaders' confidence index, changes in energy prices, CO2 quotas allocated to European Union countries, and detailed indicators of CO2 market, climate, economic activity and energy prices.
