Description

PuSb and PuTe show quite different magnetic behaviour. PuSb is ferromagnetic below 75 K and antiferromagnetic between 75 and 85 K, whereas PuTe reveals a weak temperature-independent paramagnetism. Therefore we have grown mixed crystals PuSb1-xTex and measured their magnetic moments. It was found that even minor additions of tellurium change the magnetic properties of PuSb very drastically.
