Granites of the Olokit Zone basement (Baikal fold area): new U-Pb-isotopic data

Description
U-Pb isotope geochronological studies of zircons and monazites from gneiss-granites, quartz syenites and biotite granites were conducted for defining the age of different-type granitoids in the Olokit Zone basement. It has been ascertained that the age of the granitoids studied falls in the range of 1843 ± 5 - 1846 ± 8 mln. years. The estimated age of the monazite (612 ± 3 mln. years) suggests the peak of thermal metamorphism of the gneiss-granites

С целью определения возраста разнотипных гранитоидов фундамента Олокитской зоны проведены U-Pb-изотопно геохронологические исследования цирконов и монацита из гнейсо-гранитов, кварцевых сиенитов и биотитовых гранитов. Установлено, что возраст изученных гранитоидов лежит в интервале 1843 ± 5-1846 ± 8 млн. лет.
