Non linear dynamic analysis of piping systems under impulsive loadings

Description
The importance of piping systems in power industries and specially in nuclear power plants is well established. In view of safety requirements, the behaviour of these piping systems in case of faulted conditions must be studied. In particular, impulsive loading like impacts on pipes or post rupture dynamics pipe behaviour are considered. The aim of this paper is to enlight the difficulties and features associated with such loadings and to present methods of solution using different finite element codes. Two applications to real problems will be presented. (Author)

A importancia de sistemas de tubulacao em industrias de potencia e especialmente em usinas nucleares e bem definida. Em vista dos requisitos de seguranca, o comportamento desses sistemas de tubulacao no caso de falta de condicoes deve ser estudado. Em particular, carregamentos impulsivos como impactos em tubos ou comportamento dinamico de tubo pos-ruptura sao considerados. Apresentam-se as dificuldades e aspectos associados com tais carregamentos e metodos de solucao usando-se codigos de elementos finitos. Duas aplicacoes a problemas reais sao apresentados.
