Amplitude modulation and demodulation of electromagnetic waves in solid state plasmas with high dielectric constant in presence of magnetic field
Description
Analytical investigations are made for the amplitude modulation as well as demodulation of an electromagnetic wave propagating obliquely to the externally applied magnetic field in a doped solid state plasma with high dielectric constant. Analyses are made in different wave number regions over a wide range of cyclotron frequency. Numerical estimates are made for n-BaTiO3 crystals irradiated by pump wave frequency 16 Tera sec-1. Complete absorption of the waves takes place in all the possible wavelength regimes when the cyclotron frequency ωc becomes exactly equal to (v2 + ω02)1/2 at θ = π/2. (author)
