Description
It is shown that with the quasi-static constraint partial/partialt = -ωpartial/partialphinot =0, there exist no retarded solutions to the inhomogeneous Maxwell's equations for which the electromagnetic fields are nonsingular at the light cylinder r = c/ω, unless at all points of this surface the densities of both electric charge and electric current are zero
