Determination of the magnetic penetration depth of the high Tsub(c) superconductor YBa2Cu30sub(7-x) by polarised neutron reflection
- 1. Rutherford Appleton Lab., Chilton (UK)
- 2. ITM-CNR, Cinisello Balsamo (Italy)
Description
The authors report the measurement of the magnetic penetration depth of the high Tsub(c) superconductor YBa2 Cu3 Osub(7-x) by polarized neutron reflection. A value of 225 + - 75 A (which represents an upper limit) was obtained at 4.8 K and in an applied magnetic field of 350 oersteds. The value is small compared to other recently reported values for conventional superconductors. (UK)
