Anodic behaviour of different orientation W and V monocrystals in alkali
Creators
Description
Anisotropy of thermodynamic and kinetic properties of faces with different indices has been shown for tungsten and vanadium in alkali without outer voltage and during electrodissolution. The face with minimum reticular density has a more negative stationary potential and is characterized by the maximum dissolution rate. At the same time this face is characterized by the highest effective activation energy. This experimental fact has been explained. It has been found that the least densely packed face has the most negative potential of the passivation onset
