Sampling of radioactive sediments in high discharge waste liquid storage tanks
- 1. Nuclear Sichuan Environmental Protection Engineering Co. LTD, Guangyuan (China)
Description
Nuclear facilities in the production and operation process, the accumulation of high discharge waste liquid, in the underground high discharge waste storage tank in the long-term storage process, the bottom of the tank deposited a certain amount of radioactive sediment. In the implementation of high discharge waste liquid storage tank source survey, combined with high discharge waste liquid storage tank radioactive sediment status, a set of radioactive sediment sampling device in high discharge waste liquid storage tank was developed, and on the basis of meeting the principle of optimal radiation protection, personal dose limitation and waste minimization, the sampling of radioactive sediment was completed through the small aperture instrument hole at the top of the tank, and the source information of radioactive sediment was obtained, it provides support for the design of decommissioning of high discharge waste liquid storage tank and the research of radioactive sediment treatment technology.
