The recent appearance of the transgenic cultivations in the world outlines a series of new queries related with the practice of the agriculture. To understand the real implications of this new technological factor, it is convenient to appeal to a theoretical mark that shows the way like the modified plants are inserted inside diverse cultural and ecosystem contexts. This mark, as the environmental dimension, it can be useful to elucidate key aspects of the sustainability of this new type of proposals
