Silver diffusion in germanium telluride

  • 1. AN SSSR, Leningrad. Fiziko-Tekhnicheskij Inst.

Description

To more accurately predict the lifetime of germanium telluride applied as a thermoelectric converter, the diffusion coefficient of silver improving the germanium telluride thermoelectric properties has been investigated. The temperature dependence of the diffusion coefficients is found to obey the Arrenius law. The conclusior is drawn from the activation energy values on a considerable contribution of silver-to-germanium diffusion over the vacancies to the total flux of diffusible atoms
