Approach to thermal equilibrium in a contracting pure hydrogen cloud
Description
The formation of a radiation field in a contracting pure hydrogen cloud is followed until thermal equilibrium is achieved between gas and radiation. It is shown that the specific entropy in the cloud is much lower than that required for the main-sequence state. (auth.)
