Genesis of ruthenium dioxide powders during thermal decomposition of Ru(OH)4 in vibrofluidized layer

Description

Peculiarities of formation of ruthenium dioxide powders during pyrolysis of ruthenium (4) hydroxide (RH) in a fluidized bed (FB) with horizontal (tube reactor) and vertical (packed column) material fluxes are studied. Thermal and structure phase transformations of RH under static and FB conditions are compared. RH calcination under dynamic conditions is shown to prevent the proceeding of calcination and collecting recrystallization, that permits to prepare highly dispersed powders of ruthenium dioxide, which are more uniform in granulometric composition than under static conditions
