Occurrence of Hedwall effect during solid-phase synthesis of strontium metavanadate

Description

Using the DTA, high-temperature X-ray diffraction and electric conductivity methods it is shown that Sr(VO3)2 overcomes the second-kind phase transformation, conditioned by cation sublattioce disordering, at 510 deg C and at 640 deg C -a convertible polymorphous transformation of the first kind, accompanied by a loss of oxygen. Effect of deformation transformation in Sr(VO3)2 at 510 deg C and in Mg(VO3)2 at 560 deg C on the reaction interaction intensity in V2O5+MO(MCO3) mixtures is studied. The Hedwall effect under reaction product deformation transformation is observed if the sublattice, its ions participating in the reaction mass transfer, is subjected to a respective transformation
