Description
The low-rank bituminous coal (with average reflectance of vitrinite R0 0.73 and volatile matter 37.5 % DAF basis) from the Kuznetsky mine was used. The pyrite concentrate supported on the coke dust was applied as a catalyst. The coke dust was recovered from dust separator of dry-cooling unit at the Kemerovo coke-oven plant. The characteristics of used materials, experimental equipment and methods were described in. Pyrolysis was carried out in the quartz reactor with 20-25 g sample charge. The charge was heated to a predetermined temperature at 5 K/min. The solid residues of pyrolysis were investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), i.r-sprectroscopy and strength testing methods.
