Signal form in tower-type ionization calorimeters

Description

The electric model of ionization calorimeter tower with 20x20 cm section and 6 nuclear length longitudinal size along the tower structure is shown to be 160 ns, the tower characteristic impedance is 5 Ohm, the signal beeing significantly influenced by dispersion. The high counting rate operation of the calorimeter considered, requires perfect matching of the detector characteristic impedance with the amplifier input impedance. 7 refs.; 9 figs
