Highly sensitive luminescence determination of cerium(3) and praseodymium(3) in solutions of their tripolyphosphates

Description
5d- and 2f-luminescence is observed in solutions of complex compounds of Ce(3) and Pr(3) with tripolyphosphate ion. Optimal conditions for the reactions and luminescence of interfering ions have been studied. A method has been developed of highly sensitive luminescence determination of cerium and praseodymium in lanthanum and yttrium oxides and their preparations containing other rare earths. 9 refs., 6 figs., 1 tab
