Tidal Symmetry in 7Li scattering from 54 Fe
- 1. Atomic Energy Commission, Damascus (Syrian Arab Republic). Dept. Physics
Description
Two-channel single folding model calculations of tensor analyzing powers for sub 7 Li + sub 5 sub 4 Fe at 50 MeV are presented. Emphasis is drawn to the extent to which tidal symmetry predictions are fulfilled. Exact treatment of the centrifugal barrier was used and the effect of including Coulomb excitation has been studied. Also comparison is made with recent similar calculations but with double folding potentials and target excitation. Based on the ambiguities of the optical potential parameters, several diffuseness and radii were tried and seems to give an improved fulfillment of the tidal symmetry predictions at least in the case of RT sub 2 sub 0.
