Ion-optical design of an analyzing cum switching magnet for low energy ion beam facility at IUAC
- 1. Inter Univ. Accelerator Centre, New Delhi (India)
Description
The low energy ion beam facility (LEIBF) at the Inter-University Accelerator Centre (IUAC) provides multiply charged ion beams at a wide range of energies (a few keV to a MeV) for experiments in Atomic, Molecular and Materials Sciences. The facility consists of all permanent magnet Electron Cyclotron Resonance (ECR) ion source (Nanogan) installed on a high voltage (300k V) platform. Presently ions from ECR source are being analyzed by a dipole magnet originally designed for SNICS source
