Discussion on the application and results of deposit-size-frequency method in uranium resource evaluation

Description

The Deposit-Size-Frequency (DSF) method was developed by American mathematical geologist Dr.R.B. McCammon and research geologist W.J.Finch. It is a method of mineral resource evaluation and characterized by rapid and more accurate estimation of undiscovered endowment. Adopting this method, the author evaluated the uranium resources in certain uranium metallogenic province in northwest China and introduced approaches on the selection of various parameters for the calculation equation concerned in the application of the method and at the same time the application results of the method, the effect of various parameter value selecting on the calculation results are preliminarily analysed and discussed
