Excitation functions for (n, α) reactions in the neutron energy range from 13 to 18 MeV

Description
Total cross sections for (n,α) reactions on the target nuclei 31P, 51V, 55Mn, 59Co, 75As and 139La have been measured in the neutron energy range 13-18 MeV. The results are discussed in terms of the compound nucleus and the precompound emission models, together with some estimate of the direct mechanism component. (author)
