Structure of dithionitryl hexafluorarsenate(V)

NS2+.AsF6-, Mr=267.04, monoclinic, C2/m, a=9.5542(13), b=6.5968(14), c=5.3017(11) A, β=91.15(2)0, V=334.1(2) A3, Dx=2.66 Mg m-3 for Z=2, λ(Mo Kα)=0.71073 A, μ(Mo Kα)=5.72 mm-1, F(000)=252, T=293 K. The structure was refined by full-matrix least squares to R=0.041, wR=0.041 for 238 unique reflections. The structure consists of discrete linear S2N+ cations [S-N=1.480(3) A] and approximately octahedral AsF6- anions [As-F=1.696(6), 1.705(5) A] of C2h symmetry, with weak cation-anion interactions.
