Description
Generation of electromagnetic radiation from electrostatic fluctuations near the upper-hybrid resonance frequency has been calculated theoretically and by means of plasma numerical simulations in an inhomogeneous plasma near the plasmapause. It is shown that both the polarization and the amplitude of electromagnetic radiation are in good quantitative agreement with spacecraft observations for nonthermal continuum radiation.
