Report of the Accelerator Group: the control system
Description
The control system of the NAC accelerators is being designed around a number of 16-bit minicomputers, 8-bit microcomputers and the CAMAC Fisher System Crate interfacing equipment. Most of the major software and hardware systems relating to the control system have been developed and software development for the direct control of the accelerators has commenced. The microprocessor applications include the following: ion source, radial probe and puller safety interlocking system; SSC power supply control; NMR facility; RF system; vacuum system
