Quantum relativistic rotator and oscillator

Description

The mass spectrum of low-lying hadron resonances is described as relativistic rotational and vibrational excitations of extended objects, leading naturally to an operator for intrinsic position and to an expression for the momentum. Their ''relativistic Heisenberg commutation relations'' have as a non-relativistic limit the usual 3-dimensional canonical commutation relations, but are different from the usual relativistic generalization. 13 refs., 2 figs
