Description
Using 58 million J/ψ events taken with the BES II detector at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider, the decay J/ψ→γf2(1270)f2(1270)→γπ+π-π+π- is observed, and the branching fraction Br(J/ψ→γf2f2)=(9.5±0.7±1.6)x10-4 is measured for the first time, where the quoted errors are statistical and systematic, respectively. The branching fraction of J/ψ→γηc, ηc→f2f2 is also measured to be Br(J/ψ→γηc)·Br(ηc→f2f2)=(1.3±0.3-0.4+0.3)x10-4. The nonresonant branching fraction of J/ψ→γf2f2 is Br(J/ψ→γf2f2)=(8.2±0.8±1.7)x10-4
