Energy reserves and production capacities
Description
By tradition, the World Energy Conference, every three years, prepares a 'Survey of Energy Resources' which subdivides the energy reserves of our planet for each source of energy into 'proven extractable reserves' and 'additional reserves'. This survey also gives information on the development of the respective production capacities. The new figures relating to reserves confirm the data already known. They show that exhaustion of the world's energy resources is unlikely in the immediate future. (R.S.)
