Description
Severe plastic deformation (SPD) method, namely equal channel angular (ECA) pressing, was used to produce bulk billets with ultrafine-grained (UFG) structure out of low-plastic multiphase hard magnetic Pr20Fe73.5B5Cu1.5 alloy. It has shown application possibility of this technique for processing permanent magnets. Magnetic hysteresis measurements revealed a high level of coercivity and remanence in the heavily deformed alloy that are increased after the subsequent annealing. (orig.)
