Description

In this review the conference held at Los Angeles, May 1978, is summarized and the main issues are identified. The application of probabilistic methods in reactor licensing, safety assessment, risk criteria and design, waste disposal, and risk benefit were discussed. Computer codes for evaluation of fault trees, and fault tree probability analysis, and data systems were also considered. (UK)
