Evaluation of the transport velocities of the tracer 210Po to the surface measuring points

Description
The data on the 210Po tracer injected into a local area of a Cumulonimbus cloud transport velocities to the surface measuring points are presented. The velocities of the 210Po transport with raindrops range from 2 to 25 m/s (mean velocity is equal to 14 m/s). Furthermore, the transport velocity depends on the sampling point being under the convective cell or near it at the moment of tracer injection into the cloud. In the first case the velocity ranges from 8 to 25 m/s (mean - 16 m/s), in the second case - from 2 to 12 m/s (mean - 6 m/s). It has been shown that the 210Po tracer transport velocities to the surface measuring points with raindrops depend on the structure of vertical air streamers in the Cumulonibus clouds
