Lactating mamma in MR tomogram
Description
MR criteria of a lactating mamma (15 days post partum) are imaged for the first time via spin echo technique and with fat-water images. Clear characterisation of milk in the glandular parenchyma as well as of fibrosed areals and postoperative scars was achieved. Significant additional information to the spin echo images was supplied by the fat-water images. Possible clinical uses are discussed. (orig.)

Die kernspintomographischen Kriterien einer laktierenden Brust (15 Tage postpartal) werden in der Spinecho-Technik und mit Fett-Wasser-Bildern erstmals dargestellt. Die Milch im Druesenparenchym sowie Fibroseareale und postoperative Narben koennen eindeutig charakterisiert werden. Die Analyse der Fett-Wasser-Bilder liefert gegenueber den Spinecho-Bildern wesentliche Zusatzinformationen. Moegliche klinische Anwendungen werden diskutiert. (orig.)Additional details
