Amorphous alloys on the base of nonferrous metals

Description

Attempts to calculate critical rates of cooling metallic glasses and to predict light amorphization compositions are made. Production of copper-zirconium glasses is studied most thoroughly of colour systems. Structure of quick-quenched metallic alloys is studied by x-ray diffraction and neutron diffraction analyses and electron microscopy. Specific mechanical properties are based on combination of high (close to theoretical limit) strength and reserve of plasticity, not typical of other inorganic glasses
