Synthesis of aluminium hexachloromolybdate and its interaction with some cyclic amines

Description
Aluminium hexachloromolybdate has been synthesized in concentrated hydrochloric acid by the reduction of Mo(5) and (6) compounds with atomic hydrogen (according to the reaction Al+HCl). Formation mechanism of AlMo3Cl6 is discussed. By means of ipteraction of AlMoCl6 with Py, An, Pipy in aqueous alcohol medium intrasubstituted amine complexes of Mo(3) of the type MoCl3A3 are prepared.
