Fine structure for 14 C decay

Description
Estimations of hindrance factors are reported for the 14 C emission from 223 Ra. The half-time is calculated in the frame of fission like theory with Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin penetrabilities. The excitation of the last unpaired neutron is considered to be due mainly to the Landau-Zener promotion mechanism in a two-level approximation. The deformation energy is computed in the framework of the binary system with a different charge density model. The level scheme is evaluated with the superasymmetric two-center shell model.
