Case report 366: Myoxid angioblastomatosis of bone (disseminated)

In summary, a case is presented of a 12-year-old Japanese girl who had radiological studies after complaining of pain in the right elbow and right foot. Ultiple 'punched-out' radiolucencies of a large segment of the appendicular skeleton were noted. These radiolucencies grew slowly, increasing in size and number, so that virtually every bone in the body was affected. Biopsy showed on gross studies that the lesions were myriad, 'rice-grain' to larger in size, semitranslucent and resembling soft gelatinous nodules in the cortical and medullary segments of bone. The histological diagnosis was myxoid angioblastomatosis. (orig./SHA)
