Description
From August 1991 to December 1992 the 131I activity released to air from a radioiodine therapy ward was monitored continuously by filtering a representative fraction of the outgoing air stream. During this period 800 GBq were administered to patients and a total of 0.8 GBq 131I was emitted. This corresponds to a release factor of 0.1%. 82% of the emitted 131I was bound to organic molecules. Abstract (German)
Zwischen August 1991 und Dezember 1992 wurde die Abluft der Radiojodtherapiestation der Klinik und Poliklinik fuer Nuklearmedizin der Universitaet Wuerzburg durch kontinuierliche Probennahme im Fortluftkanal auf ihren Gehalt an 131I untersucht. Waehrend des Ueberwachungszeitraums wurden 800 GBq 131I appliziert und insgesamt 0,8 GBq 131I ueber die Abluft abgegeben. Dies entspricht einem Freisetzungsgrad von 0,1%. 82% des emittierten 131I lag in organischen Jodverbindungen vor. (orig.)Additional details
