Description

The subsolidus phase relations of Nd2O3-SrO-CuO ternary system sintered in air at 950-1000 C have been investigated by X-ray powder diffraction. The system can be divided into 13 three-phase regions and five two-phase regions. In this system there exist at least four compounds and their solid solutions: Nd2SrCu2O6, Nd1+xSr2-xCu2O6 (0≤x≤0.4), Nd2-xSrxCuOy (1.2≤x≤1.5) and NdxSr3-xCu5Oy (0≤x≤1.5). None of these compounds are superconducting above 4.2 K. (orig.)
