Description
We developed a wavefront measuring device using a Shack-Hartmann sensor for an adaptive optics system. The measurement speed and resolution are important to improve the performance of a wavefront measuring device. In this paper, we studied on measuring techniques for wavefront with high measurement resolution using a Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor. We investigated the trade off relations between the measurement speed and the measurement resolution with various search window sizes and converging rates. We also checked the variation of the averaged converging rate during operation of an adaptive optics system. The experimental results of the relation between measuring accuracy and measuring speed are showed and discussed in this paper.
