New developments based on German operating experience and its applicability on the Russian-type nuclear power plants

Description

Applicability of the incident analysis and the recommendation on German circulars is discussed. In case of events in NPP GRS releases circulars on behalf of BMU. In case of highly safety significant accident affecting other NPPs GRS submits a report to IRS of OECD and IAEA. Some of the circulars are applicable to Russian type reactors if components of the same manufacturer are affected; cracks are found in pipes or vessels made from similar material or being under similar operational conditions; events are caused by operational or maintenance procedures; QA of the component manufacturing is dealt with
