Electric and optical properties of zinc and cadmium diarsenides
- 1. AN SSSR, Moscow (Russian Federation). Inst. Obshchej i Neorganicheskoj Khimii
Description
Electric and optical properties were studied using ZnAs2 and CdAs2 monocrystals. It is pointed out that the monocrystals mentioned feature the presence of considerable amount of acceptor and donor centers respectively, which are apparently related to the presence of intrinsic point defects in the given compounds. Monocrystals of ZnAs2 and CdAs2 are promising as materials for cutting-off filters and immersion lenses of IR spectrum range, light modulator and sensors of thermal flow receivers, based on the effect of transverse thermo-e.m.f., characteristic of anisotropic substances
