Specification and calibration of a quadrupole mass filter
- 1. Ibaraki Univ., Hitachi (Japan). Faculty of Engineering
Description
Specification and calibration of a quadrupole mass filter for the study of mass separation phenomena are described. The mass filter is operated in a range of mass number from 1 to 100a.m.u. with a resolution of 50. Analyzing rods are 150mm in length and are energized by HF potential of 1 MHz. Sensitivity is of the order of 1.0x10-7 A/Torr for N2 gas. (auth.)
