Influence of plastic deformation on structural changes of near surface layer of amorphous alloys

Description

The near surface layer structure of deformed and non deformed amorphous alloy Ni85C15 has been studied by spectroellipsometric method for the model of effective medium. The volume parts of crystalline, amorphous and air phases have been qualitatively appreciated. The increase in a volume fraction of the crystalline inclusions in the deformed near surface layer has been observed. The role of an air phase and influence of critical pressure on structure ordering have been discussed.
