Niobium-tin superconductors. 3
Creators
Description
In May 1989 i.e. halfway the laboratory scale production of the niobium-tin superconductors, an unexpected increase in failure rate was found during wiredrawing. The output went down to an unacceptable low value. It had severe consequences for the rest of the fusion programme. Therefore the ECN-effort for the SULTAN-9 Tesla coil was terminated. (author)
