Description
This paper makes a systematic analysis of the metallogenic condition of hydrothermal type uranium deposit in Sanjiang area of Eastern Tibet in the following prospects: geotectonic background, basement maturity, uranium source conditions, strata and lithology, genetic types of magmatic rock, forming time and space configuration of magmatic rocks, volcanic rock characteristics, ore-controlling structure and the wall-rock alteration etc. We explicitly point out that Sanjiang area bears the basic geological condition to form hydrothermal type uranium deposits, but the metallogenic conditions are not superior on the whole. The main targets should be the granite type deposit in the internal and external contact zone between pluton and the strata. (authors)
