  • 1. Power Research Testing Company, ENORGOPOMIAR Ltd., Gliwice (Poland)

Description

Data are presented for emission of pollutants (SO2, NOx, fly ash) from power plants in Poland over the last three years and suggests reasons for the trends. Methods available to reduce emissions in Poland are outlined and Polish regulations governing emissions from power plants summarised. Steps taken to reduce emissions of SO2, NO2 and ash before, during, and after combustion in Polish plants are described and some measures to conserve energy are suggested. A recent 'Study on the development of the subsystem of electric energy generation in Poland' is mentioned - this identified methods to need emission requirements in existing power plants at minimum cost. 9 refs., 9 tabs
