Description
The MAGMI/MAGnetic MIrror/program was written for designing the magnetic mirror for electron linear accelerators enabling electrons to be accelerated twice by the same accelerating structure. Depending upon the incoming beam parameters such as: emittance of the beam, energy and admissible energy variation of electrons, the program minimizes the necessary number of magnets and optimizes their shape, distribution and magnetic field intensity to obtain a possible perfect reflection of the beam by the magnetic mirror. After optimization the orbits of electrons are also calculated
