TFTR tritium gas chromatography system
Description
A gas chromatographic (GC) analytical system has been installed on the TFTR tritium systems. This instrument and associated sampling loop provide quantitative analysis of a broad spectrum of impurities in gas holding tanks and other sources on a real time basis. These analyses in turn have assured proper feed gas treatment for feedstock to the new Tritium Purification System; a portable GC by MTI Instruments is the key element of this new analytical loop
